People once thought AI would develope as fast as other computational sciences did, but this was not true at all, if lastly we've seen AI applied in some things is not for new developed or improved theories, but for a growth in the speed of PCs, right? Actually the most respected researchs about AI was performed 30 or more years ago, say Genetic Algorithms, Computer Vision, Neural Networks, etc.
